Guide
BlackNull gives everyone simple access to yield-bearing assets, plus the tools to judge their risk before investing.
Wallet
Wallet → connect your wallet and sign once: this opens your BlackNull wallet in this browser. Then Add funds: enter an amount (or 25/50/75%) and Confirm in your wallet — the only other time your own wallet is asked. Funds arrive in your BlackNull wallet as cash.
From then on every Deposit and Withdraw is one touch: amount, Confirm. BlackNull moves the cash to the vault's network, swaps it if needed and deposits it — no further signatures. Clicking your address shows your cash, Add funds, Send to wallet (cash back to your own wallet) and Disconnect.
How investing works
- Connect your wallet(browser wallet or any EVM wallet). BlackNull will never ask for your private key or seed phrase.
- Open your BlackNull wallet. It is created in your browser from a signature of your wallet; BlackNull's servers never see its keys, and signing again on any device opens the same wallet. It has an EVM address (Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum) and a Solana address.
- Choose a vault on the Invest page, check its risk, then press Deposit and pick what to pay with — any supported asset in your wallet (for example USDT on BNB Chain or USDC on Arbitrum).
- Confirm once. The BlackNull wallet then moves, swaps and deposits your funds automatically.
- Withdraw whenever you like (after any lock-up). Funds come back to your BlackNull wallet and, if you choose, straight on to your own wallet.
Invest page
- Deposited (top right) — the total deposits in every vault the page lists. Below it, three cards show the highest-APY vault in each of the three best vault classes, with a Deposit button. In the table, the vault name opens its page (with Deposit and Withdraw), and Risk Analysis opens its report; for sectors and funds, click the name to invest.
- Listed vaults — YIELD shows only vaults that meet BlackNull's bar: a Risk score of 60 or more, a Risk level of Medium-high or lower, not Provisional and not capped, with over $10M deposited and a rate of 4% or more. See how the Risk score works.
- All ▾ opens the list of classes — vault types, sectors and funds — each with a box on the right. Tick the ones you want; the table below shows every ticked class, grouped. Risk lists the lowest-risk vaults first.
- Type — Lending, Liquidity, Trading, Staking, Delta-neutral or RWA yield. Provider— the curator or manager (Curator A, Curator C, Curator D, Curator E, Curator L, …).
- RWA — vaults backed by real-world assets: tokenized treasuries, private credit, commodities.
- Filter — more options: vault profile, platform, accepting deposits, risk-analyzed only and a minimum APY. Search (right) finds a vault by name, asset, provider or address.
- Platforms— vaults, the 10 largest lending vaults (Solana) and the 5 safest large EVM lending stablecoin vaults (Ethereum, Base), all deposited from BlackNull.
- Risk score — every card and asset page shows the Risk score (0–100, higher is better, 50 = cash) and the Risk level; the full risk report opens from the asset page.
- Deposit — see Deposit & withdraw. Your positions are on the Portfolio page.
Sectors and funds
Sectorlists twelve classes — AI & Semiconductors, Big Tech, Software & Cloud, Crypto & Fintech, Memory & Storage, Energy & Power, Healthcare & Biotech, EV & Autos, Internet & Media, Crypto (Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, HYPE), Tokenized treasuries tokenized stocks (SPYon, QQQon, NVDAon, TSLAon, GOOGLon, MSTRon, CRCLon, SLVon — freely transferable tokens on Ethereum, no sign-up) and Commodities (gold, silver, platinum, copper, WTI and Brent crude oil) — each with 5–10 popular holdings (Healthcare has the 4 that are listed). Invest in any holding on its own, each on its cheapest venue, or in the whole sector as an equal-weight basket when one venue lists every holding. Fundlists index funds: US Tech 100 (QQQ), US 500, Russell 2000, Japan 225, Semiconductors (SMH) and Gold. Only markets BlackNull can actually trade are listed.
You hold them either as 1× positions (no borrowing)on perpetual markets — the stock and index markets or ZK perps market— or, where a liquid token exists (Tokenized treasuries stock tokens, PAXG gold, WBTC, ETH), as the token itselfin your BlackNull wallet, bought and sold through the bridge. The best venue depends on your amount: fixed costs (moving money in, the withdrawal fee) matter for small amounts, while price impact and spread matter for large ones. For your amount, BlackNull prices every venue from their live order books — opening and closing fees, spread and price impact — adds the cost of moving the money in and of sending it back to your wallet, and picks the venue that keeps the most value. The panel shows the comparison. Each holding needs at least $10, so a five-company basket needs $50.
- : your BlackNull wallet moves USDC into the stock-and-index account and buys each holding. Sending money back costs about $0.01.
- ZK perps market: trading has no fees. The first deposit opens your BlackNull wallet's ZK perps market account from Ethereum (about $0.50 of ETH is included); later deposits go straight in. The BlackNull wallet registers its own ZK perps market trading key, kept encrypted in this browser. Sending money back through the bridge includes ZK perps market's 1 USDC transfer fee.
- Prices move: these positions gain or lose with the market, and perpetual positions pay or earn a small funding rate.
Deposit & withdraw
- Connect your wallet and open your BlackNull wallet. The first time, your wallet asks you to sign twice to check it always gives the same signature.
- Pay with — pick an asset from your wallet on Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Optimism or Polygon, or funds already in your BlackNull wallet.
- Enter an amount. The panel shows how much will reach the vault, the minimum after price moves, the fees and the time.
- Confirm deposit. For USDC your wallet only signs a permit (no network fee); other assets need one transfer. Everything after that happens automatically.
How the money moves:
- vaults— the bridge delivers USDC to your BlackNull wallet's trading account, then it is deposited into the vault. Minimum 5 USDC. locks each deposit for a period (4 days for market-making vault); the panel shows when it unlocks.
- EVM lending vaults(Ethereum, Base) — the bridge delivers the vault's asset on the vault's network, then the BlackNull wallet deposits it. If the BlackNull wallet has no ETH there, a small part of your deposit (about $0.10 on Base) is kept as ETH for network fees.
- vaults(Solana) — on the first deposit a small SOL reserve (a few dollars, for fees and account rent) is delivered to your BlackNull wallet's Solana address and the rest arrives as USDC directly (a small first deposit is instead sent as SOL and swapped with Swap router into the vault's asset); later deposits arrive as USDC directly, then the vault deposit is made.
Withdrawtakes funds out of the vault into your BlackNull wallet. With "Then send it to my wallet" ticked they continue to your own wallet: funds as USDC on Arbitrum (charges 1 USDC), EVM lending funds on the vault's network, funds as USDC on Arbitrum. If a step is interrupted, the funds stay in your BlackNull wallet and appear under "Pay with" so you can finish the deposit, or you can send them home from the Wallet panel.
Before signing anything, the BlackNull wallet checks each transaction: Solana transactions must be signed only by your BlackNull wallet and call only the expected programs, and a permit can never be for more than the amount you entered. Disconnecting your wallet removes the BlackNull wallet keys from this browser tab.
Fees and the cheapest route
BlackNull charges no fee of its own. You pay only the networks, the bridge and the swap. When you deposit with Best price(the default), BlackNull ranks every way to pay with its fee table — re-measured every 4 hours from the bridge and bridge router quotes, without making any transaction — then asks both for live prices on the best few from the stablecoins in your wallet, adds the network fee you would pay yourself, and picks the lowest total cost. The panel lists the alternatives so you can choose another.
Rules of thumb
- Same network first. Money that is already on the vault's network in the right token is simply sent to your BlackNull wallet — only the network fee (a fraction of a cent on Base or Arbitrum). When two routes cost about the same, BlackNull picks the one that stays on one network.
- Pay with USDC on Arbitrum, Base, Optimism or Polygon when you can: your wallet only signs a permit (no network fee), and moving it costs cents.
- USDT on BNB Chain costs more (about 0.25% at $1,000) and needs a little BNB for the transfer.
- Ethereumas a source is fine; EVM lending vaults on Ethereum cost more per deposit because the vault transactions run there.
- :the first deposit first moves only the small SOL reserve your BlackNull wallet must keep (a few dollars, for fees and account rent), and the rest arrives as USDC directly — about 0.05% of the amount in a price check at $100 and $1,000 (the old way, sending everything as SOL and swapping it back with Swap router, was about 0.27%). For a small first deposit, where the reserve would be a large part of it, the old way is still used. After the first deposit, deposits arrive as USDC directly.
- Withdrawing goes through the bridge for about $0.01 instead of the own 1 USDC fee.
Fixed costs
| What | Cost | Note |
|---|---|---|
| BlackNull fee | $0 | None on deposits, withdrawals or swaps. |
| vault deposit / withdraw | $0 | Minimum deposit 5 USDC; deposits are locked for a period (market-making vault: 4 days). |
| → your wallet (via the bridge) | ≈ $0.005–0.01 | Falls back to the own withdrawal (1 USDC) only if the bridge is unavailable. |
| EVM lending deposit / withdraw on Base | < $0.01 | Paid from the ETH kept in your BlackNull wallet ($0.10 top-up on the first deposit). |
| EVM lending deposit / withdraw on Ethereum | ≈ $0.10–1 | Depends on Ethereum gas; a $1.50 ETH top-up is kept the first time. |
| first deposit | ≈ 0.012 SOL kept | Rent for the Solana accounts (stays yours), a SOL reserve of a few dollars (about $0.03–0.06 to move), plus ≈ 0.05% for the USDC. A small first deposit uses the old way (≈ 0.3% SOL→USDC swap). |
| later deposits / withdraw | < $0.01 | Solana fees. |
| → your wallet (USDC on Arbitrum) | ≈ 1%–0.3% | Measured $0.025 on $2.27. |

Portfolio & notifications
Portfolio lists every vault you hold with its value, profit or loss, APR, risk score and lock-up date, with Deposit, Withdraw and Risk analysis buttons. The bell next to Settings alerts you when a deposit is still locked, a vault you hold turns to a negative APR, or its Risk level is High or Very high.
Multi Fund
Multi Fundworks like the Invest page but offers a short list: five vaults across three kinds — RWA yield and Earn — each with a safety score of at least 85 and an APY of at least 4%, safest first. More high-performing vaults will be added over time.
Leveraged positions
Existing leveraged positions are managed from Portfolio (Manage). The leverage page opens a leveraged long position on a market. For each market BlackNull shows a safe leverage: the highest leverage whose liquidation price would have survived a 1-in-100 week in that market's last 120 days (or its worst week, if worse). The slider never goes above it.
- Choose the margin (the USDC you put in) and the leverage. The panel shows the position size, the estimated liquidation price, how far the price can fall before liquidation, the yearly funding and the most you can lose.
- Positions use isolated margin: only that margin is at risk.
- Open positions appear on the leverage page with a Close button, and in Portfolio. The bell warns you when a position is within 15% of its liquidation price.
- The risk score button on each market opens its full risk report from daily prices.
Risk score
Every asset on BlackNull — index products, sector baskets, single holdings and vaults — is rated with one method, calculated by BlackNull's server from real market data. The full method, with every formula and constant, is on How the Risk score works.
- Risk score (0–100, higher is better). How well the asset paid for the risk taken over the last ten years, measured against cash. 50 means it did about as well as cash; above 50 it rewarded the swings, below 50 it did not.
- Risk level (Very low to Very high). How much it can swing and fall: volatility and tail loss, the largest fall, the cost of getting in and out, leverage, and for vaults the contracts, issuer and manager. The worst of these sets the level.
- Provisional. With under three years of history the score is pulled toward 50 and marked Provisional; under one year it is at most 50.
- Capped at 50. A serious structural weakness, such as a token with no market history or withdrawals that can be gated, caps the score at 50.
- Bad day and bad year. Each asset page shows the loss to expect on a bad day (one day in twenty) and in a bad year (one year in forty).
- Profiles. Conservative up to Medium-low, Balanced for Medium and Medium-high, Aggressive for High and Very high.
The curated lists show only assets with a Risk score of 60 or more, a Risk level of Medium-high or lower, not Provisional and not capped. BlackNull's AI explains a score in plain words; it never sets it.
Stored risk reports
BlackNull keeps a risk report for every listed vault and every sector, fund and holding. It is rebuilt every day, and sooner when a vault's yield moves by 1 percentage point or an asset's price moves by 1%. Each report holds the Risk score and Risk level with their reasons, returns over 30 and 90 days, beta and correlation to Bitcoin, the round-trip cost at $1k / $10k / $100k with the cheapest market, the last 8 scores, and market context: the CFTC Commitments of Traders (raw weekly positioning, shown as is) for related futures markets and, for stocks, commodities and funds, US macro data and recent policy and market headlines. Open it with Full risk report on any asset page.
Financial AI
A familiar chat: Enter sends, Shift+Enter adds a line, + attaches text files, the microphone types what you say. Under the box: the mode (Ask before trades, Auto trade, Read only), the model and the effort (Low, Medium, High — longer, more careful answers cost more).
The assistant reads every vault, risk report, COT, macro data, headlines and live prices, and it can trade from your BlackNull wallet: check your cash and positions, deposit into a vault, withdraw, and send cash back to your wallet. In Ask mode each trade shows a card with Approve / Decline; in Auto mode trades run at once; in Read only it cannot trade. The keys stay in your browser.
- AI credit — the amount under the Wallet button. At $0 it is always shown; otherwise it appears when the pointer comes near. Click it to add credit (amount, 25/50/75%, Confirm), paid from your BlackNull wallet cash on any network. Credit is for the assistant only and is not refundable.
- Each answer costs 3× the AI provider's price for the tokens used; your balance updates after each answer.
Settings
The ⚙ Settings button next to the bell and Wallet holds your AI provider and key, the minimum TVL for vaults shown on the Invest page, and a Disconnect wallet button. This User guide is under More in the top menu.
